Welcome to the Youth Services Department!
The Youth Services Department at the Burlington Public Library is committed to providing library materials and programs for youth from birth through high school, their parents and caregivers, educators, students of children's literature and other interested individuals. Our aim is to foster a lifelong love of libraries and reading! Some of the programs we offer are: storytimes for various ages; school visits, scout visits, special youth events; and Summer Reading Programs for children and teens.
Educators There are many resources to assist learners and educators at the Burlington Public Library.Our staff is delighted to help parents, teachers, scout leaders and others who work with children find materials to assist them. Please stop by the Youth Services Department or call us at 781-270-1692 Materials to be used in Burlington classrooms may be borrowed with a teacher card for 6 weeks. Middle school students may find useful materials in both the upstairs adult/teen (YA) nonfiction and downstairs in the children's nonfiction collection. Movies and music for Young Adults will be found with the Adult videos and music located on the first floor of the library.
